چکیده

Abstract This paper is concerned with the optimal number of redundant allocation to n -component coherent systems consisting heterogeneous dependent components. We assume that system built up L groups different components, $L\geq 1$ , where there are $n_i$ components in group i and $\sum_{i=1}^{L}n_i=n$ . The problem interest allocate $v_i$ active each component type $i=1,\dots, L$ To get values we propose two cost-based criteria. One them introduced based on costs renewing failed refreshing alive ones at failure time. other criterion proposed replacing its time or a predetermined $\tau$ whichever occurs first. expressions for functions derived using mixture representation reliability function notion survival signature. given copula models dependency structure between In particular case series-parallel structure, provide formulas functions. results discussed numerically some specific systems.

A Multi Objective Optimization Model for Redundancy Allocation Problems in Series-Parallel Systems with Repairable Components

The main goal in this paper is to propose an optimization model for determining the structure of a series-parallel system. Regarding the previous studies in series-parallel systems, the main contribution of this study is to expand the redundancy allocation parallel to systems that have repairable components. The considered optimization model has two objectives: maximizing the system mean time t...

Optimal Redundancy Allocation in Complex Systems

A simple computational procedure has been developed by using Monte Carlo for allocating redundancy among subsystems so as to achieve maximum reliability of a complex systems subjected to multiple constraints which may be linear, non linear separable or non separable. Two examples of linear, non linear separable and non separable constraints with having twenty problems are solved.

Redundancy allocation problem for k-out-of-n systems with a choice of redundancy strategies

To increase the reliability of a specific system, using redundant components is a common method which is called redundancy allocation problem (RAP). Some of the RAP studies have focused on k-out-of-n systems. However, all of these studies assumed predetermined active or standby strategies for each subsystem. In this paper, for the first time, we propose a k-out-of-<em...

OPTIMAL ALLOCATION OF ACTIVE REDUNDANCIES TO k-OUT-OF-n SYSTEMS WITH HETEROGENEOUS COMPONENTS

In this note we deal with the allocation of independent and identical active redundancies to a k-out-of-n system with the usual stochastic order among its independent components. The optimal policy is proved both to assign more redundancies to the weaker component and to majorize all other policies. This improves the corresponding one in Hu and Wang (2009) and serves as a nice supplement to tha...
